Greetings to All:

Our conference is drawing near and this will be my next to the last letter to the membership. Everything is really coming together and the entire board is ready for this conference. Our board meeting is coming up on the 26th of April here in Houston . The next board meeting will be held at the conference on June 18th , at the Omni Houston. We have several new sponsors this year that have contributed to the Alumni Association to make this conference one of the best. The board really appreciates their support.

Speaking of sponsors, do you ever consider them from sponsorships past? When you attend conferences or conventions that display sponsor information, why not consider their products in the future? When you ask them to help make an event a success by lessening the monetary burden on the organization, it not only helps the event, it lowers the cost of registration. Mentioning their sponsorship when looking for products lets them know they were seen and appreciated for helping out.

You can tell that spring is in the air. I have noticed a lot of people are jumping ahead of the season with planting and fertilizing. I think that it might be that Easter was a bit early this year and that put people ahead a little early. It does seem that the time is really going by quickly. I read last week that a rule of thumb is not to fertilize until the mesquite has blossomed. Well, I believe that has happened as of last weekend.
