Greetings, I would like to welcome you to the Leadership Command College Alumni Association (LCCAA) web page. This Association exists to further the goal of providing quality leadership training in the field of law enforcement. Primarily, that is accomplished through the annual LCCAA Training Conference held annually in June. The 2009 conference was a big success and I would like to formally thank our Immediate Past President, Chief Dennis Stapleton, for his tireless work and dedication to the LCCAA. I would also like to thank Dr. Rita Watkins, Executive Director of the Leadership Command College, and Dara Glotzbach, Program Coordinator for the Leadership Command College, for their dedication to law enforcement officers in Texas and their continued support of the LCCAA. The 15th annual, 2010 conference, will be held in Austin on June 16-18 at the Omni South Park Hotel. Our speaker will be Lt. Col. Dave Grossman for both days of training. If you have heard Lt. Col. Grossman before, you know he is a very dynamic speaker who challenges each and every officer to be at the top of their game every day. If you have not heard him before, you are in for a treat! More information about the 2010 conference, including registration and hotel information can be found on this web page under the Conference tab. Your Executive Board is comprised of dedicated individuals from all over our Great State of Texas. I can assure you that each and every Board member has the best interest of this Association at heart. This Board is committed to strengthening our Association by visiting each module at Texas A&M University, Texas Women's University, and Sam Houston State University. Our goal is to encourage participation in the Alumni Association after each LCC participant graduates from the program. These participants are the future of our Association. We need your help as well. I challenge each Alumni Association member to make contact with at least one other LCC graduate who is not a member and promote the Alumni Association. Encourage them to join LCCAA and encourage them to attend the 2010 Conference with you. Together we can put quality leadership training for Texas law enforcement at the forefront where it should be. I encourage current members to continue to network with each other and build on the leadership best practices that our fellow officers are exhibiting across Texas. This is going to be a great year for LCCAA and I look forward to serving each of you. If you have any questions or need any information, please contact me at 512-414-1142 or drider@austinisd.org David Rider
